When a Russian satellite goes wrong NASA boss Bob Gerson (James Cromwell) is forced to call upon Frank Corvin (Clint Eastwood). The trouble is that forty years earlier Frank was part of team Daedalus who were due to be the first men in space until they were shunned when NASA formed.
