Open Season 3 (2010)

Season is Well Over

It's that time of the year when Boog and the guys usually get away for some guy-only time except between work and families Boog finds that no one can make it this year. So Boog decides to head off on his own and when he comes a bear who looks a lot like him in a circus decides to switch places. And Boog has sun taking part in a circus until it is time for the circus to return to Russia with the guys facing a race against time to come to Boog's rescue.

Let me find a positive when it comes to "Open Season 3", if I was a five year old the characters would keep me amused, I may not understand what they were saying but the way the said things and moved would be entertaining. I suppose if I was eight years old the characters would entertain but the storyline and the jokes might be a bit more of a struggle as it feels like a one idea movie.

Now having to tried to find a positive as an adult I found "Open Season 3" devoid of entertainment, no subtle humour which would make a grown up smile whilst flying over a child's head. In truth that didn't surprise me as it was a criticism I had of the previous movies but the lack of humour for adults make it a slog. In truth the animations are also a slog as the detail is lacking which makes an animation a treat for your eyes as well.

What this all boils down to is that "Open Season 3" probably does amuse very young children who probably won't be able to follow the detail of the story. But for anyone else this comes up short and I would imagine those who enjoyed the original "Open Season" will find this a poor sequel.
