Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy (2014)

Tinker Bell Hooks a New Pirate

Zarina is an incredibly inquisitive dust-keeper fairy who after receiving a telling off takes Pixie Hollow's all-important Blue Pixie Dust and ends up joining a bunch of pirates. Now with the fairy kingdom in danger Tinker Bell and her fairy friends must track down Zarina and return the Blue Pixie Dust. But things take a turn for the strange when Tinker Bell and her friends find that their special talents trade places making retrieving the Blue Pixie Dust even more of an adventure.

Have you ever watched one of those Christmas movies where a disgrunted Elf absconds with the special dust which makes the Reindeers fly or Santa be able to get into houses with out chimneys. Well if you have you are likely to find "Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy" a bit familiar because in this we have a disgruntled fairy absconding with Blue Pixie Dust and then another group trying to save the day by retrieving it. But not only do we have Tinker Bell and her fairy friends instead of elves, and usually little children, we also get a dose of trading places as Tinker and her friends find their special talents get switched. It is a nice addition to make "Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy" not feel like a slim idea drawn out.

But there is something else which struck me about "Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy" and I am convinced that the fairies in this have been drawn sexier that in the previous movies in the series. Now in truth I don't find this objectionable but some might especially those who haven't watched any of the previous animated movies in this Tinker Bell series.

What this all boils down to is that "Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy" is no better or worse than any of the previous movies in this Tinker Bell franchise which means not only should it entertain existing fans but also win a few new ones.
